COURSE CONTENT
The SHB60118 Advanced Diploma of Intense Pulsed Light and Laser for Hair Reduction has 7 units of competency which are all core units. This course covers intense pulsed light for hair reduction, laser for hair reduction, consultations, infection control, designing treatment plans, laser and IPL safety, and developments in the cosmetic industry.

Further education may include completing higher education Health Science degrees.
REQUIREMENTS
Entry to this qualification is open to individuals who:
have achieved a Diploma of Beauty Therapy; AND
have 12 months post-qualification experience as a beauty therapist with a primary focus on providing facial services, skin services and hair reduction services;
OR
are an Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse; AND
have 12 months post-qualification experience in the application of knowledge in human biology, anatomy and physiology.
ACTI courses are in high-demand and spaces are limited. Our students must demonstrate that they hold a suitable level of language, learning and numeracy skills to complete this course.
English language proficiency
Australian Capital Training Institute requires a high level of proficiency in written and oral English. International students will be required to sit a language, literacy and numeracy exam with their application.
