COURSE DESCRIPTION

HLT52015 DIPLOMA OF REMEDIAL MASSAGE The Australasia International School has professionally set up Massage training rooms and has highly skilled trainers to facilitate this course so that students can learn, be confident and be ready for industry upon successful completion. The Australasia International School is an approved ATMS Recognised Provider of Natural Medicine Education for the course: HLT52015 DIPLOMA OF REMEDIAL MASSAGE. COURSE OUTCOMES This qualification reflects the role of remedial massage therapists who work with clients presenting with soft tissue dysfunction, musculoskeletal imbalance or restrictions in range of motion (ROM). Practitioners may be self-employed or work within a larger health service. To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 200 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.
CAREER OPPERTUNITIES Potential employment options is in the role of a remedial massage therapist in a range of industry areas, such as Assistant massage therapist, Massage therapist and Massage therapy practitioner. Students who complete this course may wish to continue their education into the a range of Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualifications, as well as higher education qualifications in massage therapy.
COURSE CONTENT The Diploma of Remedial Massage requires the completion of 21 units of competency including 16 core units and 5 electives.

REQUIREMENTS

International Students must:
1. be a minimum of 18 years of age,
2. have completed Year 12 or equivalent,
3. Complete the AIS Pre-enrolment suitability form to determine suitability for the course and student needs,
4. Have an IELTS* score of 5.5 or equivalent (test results must be no more than 2 years old).
*Note that other English language tests such as PTE and TOEFL can be accepted. Students are required to
provide their results so that it can be confirmed they are equivalent to IELTS 5.5.
