The Bachelor of Animation & VFX will provide students with the skills to establish a professional animation and visual effects career in the film, television, online entertainment, or gaming industry.
The Bachelor degree can be completed fast-tracked over six trimesters (2 years) of full-time study or standard over nine trimesters (3 years) of full-time study.
THROUGHOUT THE DEGREE, YOU WILL
? Gain an in-depth understanding of digital animation and visual effects
? Create a range of industry-ready modelling, animation and visual effects examples for your portfolio
? Learn practical skills in software applications such as Nuke, Maya and Side Effects Houdini
? Work to and execute a professional creative client brief
? Learn from industry experts and collaborate with students from other creative courses
? Learn skills from lecturers and teachers with the experience they’ve developed at top studios and on large-scale projects
? The degree allows students to choose an area of specialisation to prepare them to help them stand out and be studio-ready
? Study on-campus, online, or mixed*, with access to all of Collarts’ campus facilities
? Get real-life experience through 60 hours of industry placement in the Bachelor course
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be at least 18-years-old at course commencement
Successful completion of a senior secondary school certificate equivalent to Australian Year 12
ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Our English requirement is an overall IELTS score of 6.0 (with no single band score below 6.0) for all the courses, except Entertainment Journalism and Creative Writing, where students are required to have an overall IELTS score of 6.5 (with no single band score below 6.0) or equivalent
