COURSE DESCRIPTION
Studying in the heart of Flinders University at the Bedford Park campus, you’ll complete the first year of a Diploma in Creative Industries and gain direct entry into year 2 of a variety of Flinders Creative Industries bachelor’s degrees where you’ll learn to think creatively and strategically.
Working in small groups with dedicated educators, you will gain an introduction to the creative arts and learn the essential skills for success in your destination degree. And most importantly, you’ll gain the benefits of being a Flinders student from day one in a learning environment that is tailored to your unique learning needs.?
What you will learn
Working in small groups with dedicated educators you will be exposed to English, Numeracy and Study Skills while learning specialist knowledge that will launch you into your destination degree. Learning will be collaborative and engaging using the latest transition pedagogy techniques.
Students in the Flinders University Academy will be supported to develop their emerging identity in an Australian context. They will also work closely with students enrolled across the Academy to explore common areas of study and to facilitate transition to the Australian university environment.
The Diploma in Creative Industries will lead to destination degrees in the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences:
- Taught by specialists, focussing on the needs of international students, and embedded in the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences for a seamless transition to your destination degree.
- When you successfully complete your diploma, you will go straight into year two of your destination bachelor’s degree.
- After a further 2-3 years of study, students will graduate with a Flinders degree in the Creative Industries and will be ready to embark on their career or further study.
- This diploma will introduce you to the diversity of fields and careers within the Creative Industries.

REQUIREMENTS
Successful completion of Australian Year 12 with minimum ATAR of 40 or a comparable educational level in your home country.
English Language Entry requirements
Overall IELTS score of 5.5 (no band below 5.0) or equivalent.
