COURSE DESCRIPTION

Currently, Early Child Education is one of the most popular industries with demands rising for child care centers. This qualification reflects the role of workers in a range of early childhood education settings who work within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations. They support the implementation of an approved learning framework, and support children’s wellbeing, learning and development.

Through the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, you will be introduced to working in the field of early childhood. It is the minimum qualification to gain employment in ACECQA approved early childhood services and often the qualification studied for those wanting to begin their career in early childhood education.

Student will learn the importance of being responsive caregivers while respecting diversity, identity and the rights of children. Vocational placements provide students with the opportunity to practice the knowledge and skills as they engage with children. Students are offered a balance between theoretical and practical experience. Our curriculum is current, responsive to the changes in this industry and is designed to provide you with the needed hands-on experience to develop the expertise you need to work with children.

Career Pathways

This qualification may provide employment opportunities in a center-cased care, out of school hour care etc. Possible job titles relevant to this qualification:

Childhood Educator Assistant

Outside School Carer

Assistant Educator in child care centers

Preschool Assistant

Family Day Care Educator

Qualified Nanny

REQUIREMENTS

This qualification may be accessed by direct entry, Although, It is highly recommended that the student:

have satisfactory numeracy and literacy capabilities
are mature age

English Requirements:

IELTS band score of 5.5 (academic test version) or;

TOEFL PBT score of 530 or;

TOEFL CBT score of 197 or;

TOEFL IBT overall score 71 ( No band less than 70) or;

equivalent internationally recognised exam result in line with Department of Home Affairs.
