COURSE DESCRIPTION

This qualification will provide students with skills in database development and maintenance, networking, programming, systems administration support and web development. They will also learn emerging technologies and practices to gain access to various job roles in the ICT industry.

This course is suitable for individuals who wish to improve their skills and start specialising in a particular area in the ICT industry. Students will apply a broad range of skills in varied contexts, using problem-solving skills and effective communication.

In this course, students will learn about:

Cyber security risk management

Emerging technologies and practices

IP, ethics and privacy policies in ICT environments

Programming techniques

Maintaining databases

Installing and configuring client-server applications and servers

Web development

REQUIREMENTS

There are no formal entry requirements.

English Requirements:

IELTS band score of 5.5 (academic test version) or;

TOEFL PBT score of 530 or;

TOEFL CBT score of 197 or;

TOEFL IBT overall score 71 ( No band less than 70) or;

equivalent internationally recognised exam result in line with Department of Home Affairs.
