COURSE DESCRIPTION

Ideal as a stand-alone qualification or a stepping stone to further study, the Diploma of Business equips students with the fundamental theory and practical based skills necessary to embark on a career in the world of business.

Course Learning Outcomes

Students enrolled in the Diploma of Business at Kaplan Business School will learn how to:

Demonstrate a fundamental knowledge of business over its range of related disciplines

Recognise how business theories and concepts apply to business problems

Demonstrate judgement to recommend appropriate plans and solutions for a variety of business problems

Effectively communicate solutions to business problems

As a graduate who successfully completes the course you could be employed across a diverse range of industries.

You may apply for credit entry into the second year of our Bachelor of Business or a related undergraduate degree at another Australian higher education provider.

REQUIREMENTS

Students must reach the admissions standards set by the Academic Board, which are currently: Successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent schooling such as a Certificate IV or equivalent.

ENGLISH ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Academic IELTS Overall 5.5, no individual band score below 5.0; OR KITE score greater than 396 Overall for listening, reading and grammar, and B2 for speaking and writing; OR PTE Academic Score of 42; OR TOEFL iBT Score of 46; OR GCE Ordinary Level; Grade C in English Language or English Literature; OR Cambridge English: Advanced from Cambridge ESOL (CAE) Score of 162.

MATURE AGE STUDENTS

If you are aged 21 years or over, you may be eligible to apply for mature age entry. School results, TAFE or VET qualifications, work experience and other informal study may be accepted in support of your application.
