COURSE DESCRIPTION
Summary
In the Bachelor of Commerce, you’ll study a set of extensive and integrated foundation units that will orient you to commerce and business, followed by one or two majors to develop depth and specialisation in your chosen discipline. You’ll also acquire a set of sought-after employability skills – data literacy, business analysis, teamwork, communication, conflict resolution, problem solving, critical thinking and a global mindset, among others – all key competencies that today’s top employers regard extremely highly. The Bachelor of Economics will provide you with a sound understanding of today’s complex economic environment and the skills to design economic systems that promote welfare, fairness and sustainability. You’ll learn about how modern economies operate, trade and grow; the role of prices and markets in allocating scarce resources; and the sorts of policy interventions that can be introduced when economic outcomes are less than optimal.
