A vertical double degree means you will graduate with a Bachelor and Master’s degree within five years, fast-tracking your ability to lead and contribute to complex Robotics and AI projects, create new technology and respond rapidly to new local and global challenges.

This vertical double degree is only possible with the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and the Master of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.

All domestic students who enter the Bachelor component of the vertical double in 2023 and 2024 will receive a Commonwealth Support Place (CSP) for the Master’s component.

In your first year, you will study a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at QUT and choose from four majors:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Computer and software systems)
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Electrical and aerospace)
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Electrical)
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Mechatronics)

You will have the option to exit with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at the end of your fourth year.

In your fifth year, you will complete the Master of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, allowing you to graduate with two degrees in five years.
