COURSE DESCRIPTION

Digital technology is constantly evolving and is driving massive changes that impact business efficiency and productivity as well as the skill sets that businesses need to thrive in their industries.

Information technology professionals, with their technical capabilities, are seen as an essential resource expected to drive the growth and innovation of Australian businesses.

At Strathfield College, you will become competent in designing systems and solutions that use technology to meet the needs of the user. You will develop skills in a range of areas crucial for IT professionals, including analysis, project management, client support, and e-business. A qualification in IT will prepare you to work in small to medium businesses in areas including IT support, database development, website design and programming.

Possible Employment Pathways

Advanced networking, advanced programming, back end web development, front end web development, business analysis, cloud architecture, cloud engineering, cyber security, database and data management, game art and design, game programming, system administration, system analysis.

REQUIREMENTS

There are no pre-requisites for any of the units of competency contained within it. This course is available to all international students and Strathfield College requires that students are able to provide evidence that they:

Have demonstrated an IELTS level of at least 5.5 or equivalent or the successful completion of at least General English Upper Intermediate or English for Academic Purposes.

Have successfully completed Australian year 12 or equivalent

Are at least 18 years old at the date of course commencement

Have a suitable level of language, literacy and numeracy (LLN), to complete course requirements

Please Note: All the students commencing this course are required to complete an LLN test on the orientation day to assist Strathfield College to identify student’s needs for additional support during their study with Strathfield College.
