Set yourself apart in the IT industry with this specialised course in cyber security. Develop the technical skills you need to protect organisations against malicious cyber activity and seek work as a cyber security practitioner.

According to the Australian Government’s Job Outlook service, the number of people working as ICT security specialists grew very strongly over the last five years and is expected to continue to grow in the future. Employers are looking for qualified candidates who have strong computer literacy, can communicate clearly and work well in a team.

In this course you will learn a range of technical skills including how to implement network security infrastructure and detect breaches in network security, as well as essential soft skills such as stakeholder management.

Successful completion of this course will provide you with a range of foundation knowledge and skills in website security, IT network testing, and ICT security. You will graduate qualified to seek work as a junior cyber security analyst.

REQUIREMENTS

Academic Requirements: Completion of Year 12 (or equivalent). Non-school-leavers must have relevant work experience or qualification that indicates likely success of course completion.

International students who are under 18 years of age and are applying for a student visa are required by the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs to have adequate welfare arrangements in place.

Academic IELTS 5.5 (no individual band less than 5.0) or ISLPR 2+ on all skills or other; iBT score of 46 with 8 in Reading /7 in Learning and 18 in writing /16 in speaking; PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English) overall score of 42 with Reading /Learning /writing /speaking score of 36; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) score of 162.
