According to the Australian Government’s Job Outlook service, the beauty therapy industry is currently experiencing very strong growth with around 25,000 job openings expected over the next five years. Industry employers are looking for qualified beauty therapists who are work ready, reliable, well presented, and who interact and engage well with others.
This course will give you the advanced skills in areas including body massage and treatments, facial treatments, make up design, waxing services, and more. You’ll be guided by an expert team of professionals who are passionate about the beauty industry and have a thorough understanding of industry trends and requirements.

University pathways
If you want to go on to further study at university, TAFE Queensland has a pathway option to get you there. In many cases, completing one of our diplomas may give you a full year of credit towards a degree with one of our partner universities.
REQUIREMENTS
Academic Requirements: Completion of Year 12 (or equivalent). Non school-leavers must have relevant work experience or qualification that indicates likely success of course completion.
International students who are under 18 years of age and are applying for a student visa are required by the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs to have adequate welfare arrangements in place.
Academic IELTS 5.5 (no individual band less than 5.0) or ISLPR 2+ on all skills or other; iBT score of 46 with 8 in Reading /7 in Learning and 18 in writing /16 in speaking; PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English) overall score of 42 with Reading /Learning /writing /speaking score of 36; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) score of 162.

The TAFE Queensland network is made up of six regions delivering training from Thursday Island to the Gold Coast, from Bundaberg to Roma and across the south-east corner. From the vast roster of courses, international students can choose to apply to over 170 courses in subjects as varied as Accounting, Electronics, Beauty Therapy and Commercial Cooking.
