Want to take your skills to the next level? The Melbourne School of Fashion MST50119 Diploma of Applied Fashion Design & Merchandising is a two-year qualification that hones your skills as a designer and prepares you to enter the workforce.
The Melbourne School of Fashion MST50119 Diploma in Fashion Design & Merchandising advances your skillsets and develops your practical abilities. During this course you will explore how a garment travels through the entire design process, including conceptualisation, illustration, computer aided pattern making, sewing, draping, embellishment and final finishing. You will also examine how contemporary design practices, marketing techniques and merchandising strategies help to position new products in the consumer marketplace. You will graduate with a comprehensive portfolio, ready to present to potential employers. You will also take part in a graduate runway showcasing your work to the industry.

REQUIREMENTS
English Language Entry Requirements
An English test score with minimum requirements as follows:
• IELTS Overall 5.5 with no band score lower than 5.0; OR
• PTE Academic Score of 36; OR
• TOEFL iBT Score of 46; OR
• Cambridge English: Advanced from Cambridge ESOL (CAE) Score of 162, OR
• Equivalent as determined by OHC English Placement Test.
Academic Entry Requirements
Students must prove they meet the admissions standards relevant to their specific course as follows:
Successful completion of an Australian Year 12 (senior high school), a Certificate IV or equivalent; OR
Successful completion of an approved Tertiary Preparation Program or a Foundation Year program offered by an accredited institution of higher education; OR
Applicants may also be allowed direct entry through an approved articulation agreement.
