The Master of Information Systems is suited for students who want the skillset to be tomorrow’s digital thinkers and business leaders.
Choose your specialisation
Choose from one of three specialisations – professional, health and research – to tailor the Master of Information Systems to your goals and interests.
Professional specialisation
Upskill yourself for a dynamic career in IT management and digital business. In the Professional specialisation, you’ll explore topics as database systems, organisational processes, app development, consulting, business analysis, emerging technologies and IT strategy and governance.
Health specialisation
Leverage information and communication technologies to improve health outcomes, healthcare service provision, public health and biomedical research. In the Health specialisation, you’ll acquire the health informatics skills to contribute to safe clinical decision-making, deliver accessible and sustainable telehealth care, and support data-driven population health management. You’ll have the option to do a digital health workplace internship, or a research project that positions you to apply for a PhD in health informatics and digital health.
Research specialisation
If you want to launch your research career, consider undertaking the Research specialisation. This combines coursework in IT management and digital business to give you a strong grounding to conduct future research. You’ll apply your information systems knowledge to conduct an original investigation into a pressing IT issue with the Information Systems Major Research Project.
