We offer a range of study options and pathways to help you achieve your goals.
The UQ Foundation Program is designed to enable international students to meet the minimum entry requirements for their preferred UQ undergraduate program.
Three options are available in the Foundation Program: Extended, Standard and Accelerated. The most suitable program for you will depend on your previous study and your English proficiency.
You need to achieve certain grades and a specified Grade Point Average in your Foundation Program to be eligible for entry to a UQ program*.
Students will be eligible for entry into university in the semester following graduation from the Foundation Program. Please note that entry into some undergraduate programs is only available in Semester One.
* Admission quotas apply in several programs.
Standard Foundation Program
In the Standard Program students choose elective courses based on the entry requirements for their intended undergraduate program
REQUIREMENTS
Year 11 ? 7.0 and above (4 academic subjects)
Minimum English results for Foundation Program
IELTS 5.0; No band less than 5.0
TOEFL (iBT): 70 (Speaking 15; Listening 12; Reading 12; Writing 17)
GCE O Levels: C
HKDSE: Level 2
PTE: Overall 49 No scores less than 42
Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): Overall 162 Other scores 154 or above
Certificate of Advanced English (CAE): Overall 162 Other scores 154 or above
ICTE English Language Course: EAP I Overall grade of 4
