COURSE DESCRIPTION

Diploma of Human Resource Management is designed to help you realise your potentials in mentoring, and getting the best out of others while caring about company culture. This course will enable your career advancement in the area of human resource management across a broad range of industries.

Throughout this course, you will learn to strategically and confidently coordinate human resource functions and processes and implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs, facilitate performance development processes, as well as coordinate the learning and development of teams and individuals. In addition, you will also learn how to coordinate workforce plan implementation, manage employee and industrial relations and manage business risk. Our highly experienced and capable trainers will also showcase how to manage recruitment and on-boarding, coordinate remuneration & employee benefits, manage personal and professional development, manage budgets and financial plans and lead diversity and inclusion.

Academic Pathways:

On completion of this course, you are qualified to progress to Advanced Diploma of Human Resource Management or to undertake a range of other advanced diploma qualifications from the BSB Business Services Training Package or any other training package to further enhance your career opportunities in your chosen field.

You may also choose to seek entry into an undergraduate degree such as a Bachelor of Business at an Australian Higher Education Provider (subject to the Higher Education Provider’s course entry requirements). Coupled with substantial leadership and management experience (more than two years) graduates of this course may be eligible to gain entry into a number of post-graduate courses such as a Graduate Diploma in Management (learning), Graduate Certificate in Management or Master of Business Administration.

Employment Pathways:

With this qualification, you are confident and ready to seek a rewarding position in human resource management department within a small, medium or large enterprise, in a variety of industries, in both the public and private sector. With little or no prior work experience, you should expect to enter the industry in positions such as human resource officer; while with substantial work experience, you could obtain positions such as human resource manager, human resource consultant, or change manager.

REQUIREMENTS

International students must meet TWI’s standards for English proficiency. To demonstrate possession of adequate English language proficiency, students must provide valid evidence of attainment of at least one of the following:

  • Academic IELTS (International English Language Testing System) overall band score: 5.5, but minimum 5.0 in individual band (test results must be no more than 2-years-old).
  • TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-Based Test) test score band: 46
  • PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English) test score band: 42
  • CAE (Cambridge English Advanced) test score band: 162
  • OET (Occupational English Test) test score band: Pass (A or B)

In addition to that, students are exempt from providing evidence of English language proficiency with their visa application if they fall into one of the following categories:

  • Students who have completed at least five years of study in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa or the Republic of Ireland.
  • Citizens and passport holders of the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand or the Republic of Ireland.
  • Students who have successfully completed the Senior Secondary Certificate of Education or study at AQF Certificate IV level or higher in Australia within two years of applying for this qualification.
  • Students enrolled full-time in school studies as a principal course (including secondary exchange programs), postgraduate research or a standalone ELICOS program.
  • Foreign Affairs or Defence sponsored students.
