Get your career as a software developer underway. You’ll have the opportunity to complete a range of industry-relevant software development courses.
Explore fundamental concepts in areas such as software engineering and IT system administration.
Delve into algorithm design and analysis exploring various data structures and techniques.
Put your advanced technical skills and knowledge into practice by participating in a group project investigating and creating solutions to address a real-world IT problem.
Further study
After successful completion of the Master of Information Technology, you may be eligible to apply for the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Acceptance is dependent on your results and completion of certain courses as part of the degree.
Professional accreditation
The Master of Information Technology is accredited at professional level by the Australian Computer Society (ACS) and, through the Seoul Accord, is recognised in other countries. The Seoul Accord is a multi-lateral agreement that allows ACS accreditation to be recognised globally. This means when you graduate, your degree will be recognised by other countries who are members of the Accord.
REQUIREMENTS
Completion of an Australian university three year Bachelor degree in any area, or equivalent or
A minimum of five years professional work experience equivalent to a qualification at AQF Level 7.
IELTS (Academic only) – Overall minimum score of 6.0 and no individual band score of less than 5.5; TOEFL (internet based) – Overall minimum score of 80 and no individual skills score of less than 19; Pearson (PTE Academic) – Overall score of 50 and no individual Communicative Skills score of less than 50; Cambridge C1 Advanced C2 Proficiency – Overall minimum score of 169 with no less than 162 in each skill.
