COURSE DESCRIPTION

Overview

Develop as a specialist clinical nurse educator for students, peers and other health professionals. You’ll build knowledge and skills to successfully lead and facilitate professional development and mentoring within a clinical education nursing setting.
Extend your cognitive and practice skills to critique, evaluate and identify best practice methods of educating others to improve the health outcomes of communities and individuals.
Build expertise in creating innovative learning strategies relevant to clinical education nursing in a health care setting. Explore online facilitation in relation to pedagogical frameworks in both an online and blended learning environment.
Study online and part-time, progressing your career while fitting study into your life and current occupation as a nurse.

Career outcomes

  • This master’s degree equips you with the specialist skills to become a clinical nurse educator within the fields of nursing and healthcare.
  • Clinical Nurse Educators supervise and manage the assessing, planning and execution of clinical education programs in a range of health care settings within both the private and public sector.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Completed a 3-year bachelor degree in the area of nursing from an Australian university, or equivalent.
  • Hold a current Professional Registration as a Division 1 nurse, or equivalent, with either Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or relevant regulatory body in applicant’s home country.

IELTS (Academic only) – a minimum of IELTS 7.0 or equivalent.
