COURSE DESCRIPTION

Overview

Whether you’re looking to improve your career prospects within your own industry, or develop new skills to take you in a fresh direction, Flinders’ postgraduate media & communication programs will help you further develop your communication skills, with an emphasis on the theory behind and the creation of video, design and social media content.

Taught by practising industry experts and with a core industry placement, you’ll enhance your understanding of how to develop compelling video, design and social media communications from the ground up. What works, what doesn’t, what the industry demands and where it is going.

Flinders Master of Media and Communication will help you enhance the high-level skills that modern communication professionals require. You’ll develop a broader understanding of the theory of modern communication and learn how to better future proof your career in a constantly changing communication landscape.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution.

English language requirements

IELTS (Academic): 6.0 Overall with 6.0 Speaking, 6.0 Writing; TOEFL iBT: 72 Overall with 18 Speaking, 21 Writing; Pearson PTE Academic: 50 Overall with 50 Speaking, 50 Writing; Cambridge C1 Advanced: 169 Overall with 169 Speaking, 169 Writing; Occupational English Test (OET): 300 Speaking; 300 Writing; 300 Reading; 300 Listening; Duolingo (Up to and including Semester 2, 2024): Overall 95-100.
