COURSE DESCRIPTION
Our Master of Diagnostic Radiography teaches you how to work with a range of innovative imaging technologies including small mobile X-ray machines and larger units such as MRI and CT scanners, as well as sophisticated cardiac units to enable accurate patient diagnosis and treatment.
Who is it for?
Our course is designed for students who want to become registered diagnostic radiographers. You will learn from expert academics to work closely with radiologists and use a range of modalities to provide images and data for the diagnosis and treatment of injury or disease.
Career paths
As a registered diagnostic radiographer, you will have the opportunity to work in a range of settings, such as small regional clinics, large metro imaging departments, and emergency wards. The diagnostic radiographer is an integral part of the clinical team, and can work in a wide range of areas, including with:
radiologists in the imaging department
cardiologists in the imaging of heart disease
surgeons during a range of operations
emergency doctors in the emergency room.
You can also work in a wide range of research areas from forensics to innovative technology development.
