COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Diploma of Global Logistics and Maritime Management has been developed to provide you with contemporary business expertise for a career in management and administration within the maritime and logistics industries and related areas.
This course also provides a pathway into the P2E Associate Degree of Global Logistics and Maritime Management and the P3E Bachelor of Global Logistics and Maritime Management.
Course objectives
The Diploma of Global Logistics and Management aims to prepare students for their early careers in the maritime and logistics industries .
The curriculum for the Diploma focuses on the application and communication of specialised knowledge and concepts in the global logistics and maritime management; and the development of analytical and problem-solving skills in the specific maritime and logistics contexts.
The Diploma attracts students who are industrial professionals and left school, preferring to start studying from a Diploma.
Career outcomes
The Diploma of Global Logistics and Maritime Management is designed to prepare students for management and administrative careers in private enterprise, industry organisations and government in the areas of commercial shipping, ports and terminals, transport policy and administration, freight forwarding and exporting and importing.
Course structure
The Diploma of Global Logistics and Maritime Management requires the completion of 100 credit points comprising:
50 credit points: 4 core units
25 credit points: 2 major units
25 credit points: 2 elective units

REQUIREMENTS

Satisfactory completion of Year 12 or equivalent

IELTS (Academic) – 6.0 (no individual band less than 5.5)

TOEFL (iBT) 72 (no skill below: Reading 10; Listening 9; Speaking 16; Writing 19)

PTE Academic 50 with no score lower than 42

UTAS Access-English Level 6 – 60% (no individual score less than 55%)

Cambridge English C1 Advanced or B2 First – 169 with no less than 162 in any skill.
Australian Education Management Group (AEMG) DEP EAP2 – Minimum overall score of 70% and no section score of less than 65%
