COURSE DESCRIPTION
This qualification reflects the trade qualified role of a bricklayer, blocklayer or paver who may have responsibility for undertaking heritage bricklaying, refractory bricklaying, bricklaying, blocklaying and paving work in residential, industrial and commercial contexts, in both existing and new constructions.

Blocklayer

The bricklaying, blocklaying and paving industry strongly affirms that training and assessment leading to recognition of skills must be undertaken in a real or closely simulated workplace environment and this qualification requires all units of competency to be delivered and assessed in this context.
Learning Outcome:
Upon successful completion of this course, learners are awarded the CPC33020- Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying, which is a nationally recognised qualification. Possible career outcomes may include carpenter, joiner and more.
Students who do not complete all units may be eligible for a Statement of Attainment in partial completion of the CPC33020- Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying
REQUIREMENTS
All students must be aged 18 years or over at the time of applying for admission to the Institute.
Academic Requirements: Applicants should have completed a year 12 or equivalent level of secondary education
or
Mature Age students will also be considered without the minimum education requirements considering they have relevant work experience within the chosen area of study and a demonstrated capacity to meet the course requirements. A minimum of 2 years’ experience would normally be expected; however, each case will be reviewed individually with relevant work experience evidence in the form of an employment reference letter on company letterhead, work samples and curriculum vitae submitted will be considered. Such learner will be accessed for possible RPL opportunities, and their course duration and volume of learning will be adjusted accordingly, if any RPL is granted.
English Language requirements:
We accept the admission to the students if they qualify in ANYONE (1) of the following:
IELTS overall band of 5.5 equivalent or above
TOEFL iBT test score band of 60 equivalent or above;
PTE Academic band score 36 equivalent or above
