COURSE DESCRIPTION
The course is suitable for:
Pilots who want to gain an Airline Transport Licence (ATPL)
Pilots who want to operate a multi-crew aircraft
Configured for a generic commercial narrow-body jet or turbo-prop aircraft, the Ascent XJ/XT trainer is used by FTA to train students for multi-crew operations and transition to jet/turbo-prop aircraft with a modern glass cockpit. Featuring TCAS, EGPWS, FMS and weather radar, the XJ/XT trainer’s avionics suite will also aim to familiarise students with a highly automated flight deck, aided by an RSI Raster/xT Image Generator and 180×35° projected display.
Course
FTA provides multi-crew cooperation courses (MCC) in two generic XT/XJ flight training devices at FTA Parafield and a MCC approved flight training device at FTA Queensland. These FTDs have CASA approval and meet the requirements as describe in Part 61 for MCC.
Multi-Crew Cooperation
Multi-crew cooperation (MCC) training covers units of knowledge and practical skills that are used when pilots are part of a multi-crew operation and is not specific to an aircraft type.
It is recommended that MCC training is completed before a pilot starts training on a multi-crew certificated aircraft type.
