COURSE DESCRIPTION

The electrical and electronic engineering component of this course is a comprehensive, accredited degree providing both a theoretical and a practical basis of electrical and electronic systems, and allows you to specialise in one of four areas; electrical engineering, electronic engineering, computer and network systems or systems and security.

Your career

With this degree combination, you’ll be creating systems, develop developing software, analysing requirements and managing large engineering. Industrial, commercial, scientific or medical – wherever there are complex problems, you’ll be providing complete solutions.

All our Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Engineering degrees are accredited by Engineers Australia at the level of professional engineer. Professional engineering courses accredited by Engineers Australia are recognised internationally under the Washington Accord. Graduates meet the academic requirements for attaining chartered professional engineering status.

REQUIREMENTS

Flinders University recognises international secondary schooling for direct entry to undergraduate programs.

SACE stage two Mathematical Methods, Physics and Specialist Mathematics or equivalent.

English language requirements

  • IELTS (Academic): 6.0 Overall with 6.0 Speaking, 6.0 Writing;
  • TOEFL iBT: 72 Overall with 18 Speaking, 21 Writing;
  • Pearson PTE Academic: 50 Overall with 50 Speaking, 50 Writing;
  • Cambridge C1 Advanced: 169 Overall with 169 Writing, 169 Speaking;
  • Occupational English Test (OET): 300 Speaking, 300 Writing; Duolingo (Up to and including Semester 2, 2024): Overall 95-100
