COURSE DESCRIPTION

This qualification will equip you with technical skills and knowledge using modern diagnostic tools and equipment to become a motorcycle mechanic.

International students will have the opportunity to complete the program on campus through practical training and assessment and on-the-job placements.
Opportunity exists for 18-month post-study work visa. This makes the student job-ready.

Students will learn a range of skills to service and repair motorcycles including:

inspection and diagnostic skills

testing electrical circuits and components

mechanical repair operations

routine maintenance

Potential Career Pathways:

motorcycle repair technician

motorcycle mechanic

Further Progression: Students can progress onto a higher level course within the college.

We offer the following qualifications:

AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis

AUR40820 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Overhauling

or other relevant qualifications

Credits may also include units of competency contained within relevant skills sets and statements of attainment.

REQUIREMENTS

This qualification may be accessed by direct entry.

English Requirements:

IELTS band score of 5.5 (academic test version) or;

TOEFL PBT score of 530 or;

TOEFL CBT score of 197 or;

TOEFL IBT overall score 71 ( No band less than 70) or;

equivalent internationally recognised exam result in line with Department of Home Affairs.
