COURSE DESCRIPTION
Our newly restructured IT degree gives you the flexibility to complete stand-alone core subjects along with an in-depth specialisation of your choice. You may also enrol in electives from across the university, complementing your IT studies to tailor your own unique study plan. Throughout the program, you will develop strong communication, academic, programming and problem-solving skills – critical attributes for success in the IT sector. Your acquired skills will help you facilitate smooth communication with software developers in web design, systems modelling and user experience. Participation in our professional engagement course provides you with the opportunity to network and enhance your knowledge within the IT industry. You will also build awareness of the latest research and developments, and explore the extent to which IT is embedded in areas as diverse as health, education, industry and more.
Online Learning is only available for international students not studying on student visas This degree is also available to international students located outside Australia to commence via online studies whilst travel restrictions are in place. When travel restrictions ease, students should transition to campus to complete their studies.
Pathways/Alternative Entry
Entry into the Second year of the program can be considered on successful completion of ICT50220 Diploma of Information Technology or ICT6020 Advanced Diploma of Information Technology from IIBIT. Credit will be considered if you have successfully completed higher education or TAFE studies in a relevant area. Advanced standing will be determined on an individual basis, depending on your eligibility for credit transfer, prior experience, and qualifications.
This program holds Professional Level accreditation with the Australian Computer Society (ACS).

Satisfactory completion of this course can lead to the Bachelor of Science (Honours), as a prelude to a higher degree in research or a professional qualification.

Successful completion of Australian Year 12,or overseas equivalent
English language requirement
Overall Academic IELTS band score of 6.0, with no band less than 5.5, or equivalent.
