In this major, you’ll gain science content knowledge, science inquiry skills and an understanding of the nature of science integral to the WA secondary science curriculum.
You’ll build on your existing skills as a teacher to create effective and engaging science programs for lower secondary students.

Content from the three strands of the WA secondary science curriculum: Science Understanding (with a focus on Chemistry and Physics), Science Inquiry Skills, and Science as a Human Endeavour
Effective, student-centred pedagogy in secondary science teaching

Upon completion of this major, you’ll be qualified as a secondary school science teacher for Years 7-10.
