COURSE DESCRIPTION

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform advanced diagnostic tasks in the automotive retail, service and repair industry.

Total number of 10 units are required for the award of the AUR40216 – Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis.

Core units: 1 unit

Elective units: 9 units, of which:

•

up to 9 units may be chosen from the Elective Units listed in the AUR40216 qualification;

up to 2 units may be chosen from a Certificate III qualification or above in this Training Package or another endorsed Training Package or accredited course, provided that the units chosen contribute to the vocational outcome of this qualification and do not duplicate the outcome of another unit chosen for the qualification.

REQUIREMENTS

be at least 18 years of age.

· participate in a course entry interview (pre-enrolment review) to determine suitability of the course and additional support needs – Refer to Pre-training Review section on the following page

· undertake OCT’s ACSF LLN assessment – Refer to LLN section on the following page

· must hold a valid and current student visa

· must have completed an automotive mechanical Certificate III qualification

English Language Requirements:

Prospective learner must have taken any of the following test types and achieved the minimum score in the last three (3) years.

International English Language Testing System (IELTS): 5.5

TOEFL internet-based test: 46

Cambridge English: Advanced (Certificate in Advanced English): 162

Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic): 42

Occupational English Test: B for each test component
