COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is a nationally accredited qualification that prepares you for a rewarding career as an enrolled nurse. Enrolled nurses work under the supervision of registered nurses to provide essential nursing care to people across the health sector. This qualification is underpinned by a lifespan approach, which means that you will learn about the different stages of life and how to provide appropriate nursing care at each stage. This includes caring for children, adults, and the elderly, as well as people with a range of acute and chronic health conditions.

Throughout your studies, you will gain valuable experience through clinical placements in a variety of healthcare settings. This will allow you to put your skills and knowledge into practice and develop your confidence as a nurse. This is a rewarding qualification that will give you the skills and knowledge you need to make a real difference in the lives of others. If you are interested in a career in nursing, this course is the perfect place to start.

A graduate from a Diploma of Nursing program approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) is able to apply for registration with the NMBA as an enrolled nurse.

Note that the scope of practice for enrolled nurses is determined by state and territory legislative requirements and the policies and procedures of the employing organisation. Users of this qualification must refer to those instruments in the development of training and assessment strategies.

HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing is accredited by the Australian Nursing & Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) and is approved for delivery at the Brisbane Campus and Parramatta Campus.
