Acquire the skills and knowledge to gain a career in community and/or residential aged care facilities. Learn to provide personal care to people who may require support due to ageing or disability. Be trained in safety procedures and the legal and ethical framework of this sector.
This qualification suits students seeking a career in the following job roles:

- Personal Care Giver
- Respite Care Worker
Course Content
Students must successfully complete the following units:
- CHCCCS015 – Provide individualised support
- CHCCCS023 – Support independence and well being
- CHCCOM005 – Communicate and work in health or community services
- CHCDIV001 – Work with diverse people
- CHCLEG001 – Work legally and ethically
- HLTAAP001 – Recognise healthy body systems
- HLTWHS002 – Follow safe work practices for direct client care
- CHCAGE001 – Facilitate the empowerment of older people
- CHCAGE005 – Provide support to people living with dementia
- CHCCCS011 – Meet personal support needs
- HLTINF001 – Comply with infection prevention and control policies and procedures
- CHCPAL001 – Deliver care services using a palliative approach
- HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
Further Studies
On completion of the CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support, students may also pursue a CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support at Stanley College other CRICOS registered training organisations.
REQUIREMENTS
Academic
Completion of Australian Year 10 or equivalent
English Proficiency
Intermediate Level of English
IELTS Test Score of 5.0
Other recognised English Language tests such as:

- OET: D Grade
