Begin your career in accounts administration with this entry-level course. Gain the practical work skills to get started as an accounts clerk or payroll officer. This course will provide you with the problem solving and practical skills employers look for.
According to the Australian Government’s Job Outlook service, there is stable future growth predicted for entry-level accounting roles. This very large occupational area is likely to create around 53,000 job openings over the next five years, ensuring your skills will be in high demand.
This course will give you a practical understanding of the various roles within the finance sector. You’ll gain a broad range of skills including writing simple documents, producing business documents, performing financial calculations, extracting interim reports, and administering subsidiary accounts and ledgers.
Successful completion of this qualification will show potential employers you have the skills required to work as an accounts clerk, payroll officer, or accounts officer. You will also have a sound basis to continue on with further studies in the finance or accounting industries.

REQUIREMENTS
Academic Requirements: Completion of Year 12 (or equivalent). Non school-leavers must have relevant work experience or qualification that indicates likely success of course completion.
International students who are under 18 years of age and are applying for a student visa are required by the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs to have adequate welfare arrangements in place.
Academic IELTS 5.5 (no individual band less than 5.0) or ISLPR 2+ on all skills or other; iBT score of 46 with 8 in Reading /7 in Learning and 18 in writing /16 in speaking; PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English) overall score of 42 with Reading /Learning /writing /speaking score of 36; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) score of 162.
