Become a qualified beauty therapist with the practical skills and technical knowledge to provide a range of popular services including facials, advance facials, microdermabrasion, body massage, aromatherapy, stone massage, spa treatments including waxing and hair removal, lash and brow treatments, manicures and pedicures, and make-up services. Learn about client communication and consultation techniques so you can provide appropriate beauty advice, recommend the best beauty treatments, and advise clients about skin care and cosmetic products in a retail environment. Choose from our extensive range of electives to tailor your Diploma to your own interests and ambitions.

Employment Outcomes

This qualification reflects the role of individuals employed as beauty therapists to provide a broad range of beauty therapy treatments and services including facial treatments, body massage and treatments, hair removal, lash and brow treatments, nail and make-up services. This includes consultation with clients to provide beauty advice, recommend beauty treatments and services, and sell retail skin-care and cosmetic products.

Qualifications & Skills Covered

Diploma of Beauty Therapy (SHB50121)
Discover your passion for beauty therapy with the Diploma. Through this course you’ll learn a range of salon treatments including micro-dermabrasion, facial treatments, stone therapy and body massage. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 20 core units and 9 elective units.

REQUIREMENTS

Academic IELTS score of 6.0 Overall with minimum of 5.0 in all bands or equivalent.

Satisfactory completion of the Certificate III in Beauty Services or equivalent.
