COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Master of Applied Cybernetics (Advanced) is a 1.5 year full-time (or equivalent part-time) degree that provides students with:

Advanced skills in managing cybernetic systems from critical thinking and questioning, to an understanding of how the technology relates to the regulatory environment. A solid understanding of the machine and human components of a cyber-physical system, including their historical context. The intellectual framework for the management of complex, integrated systems within a social and environmental context. The opportunity to undertake cybernetics-related research and work experience of professional relevance.

The opportunity to develop advanced research skills through development of an original thesis in applied cybernetics

REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor degree with honours or international equivalent, or higher qualification, in a cognate discipline and GPA of 6/7; or

A Bachelor degree or international equivalent in a cognate discipline with a minimum GPA of 6/7 and a minimum of 3 years full-time, relevant work experience at ANZSCO Skill Level 1; or

A Bachelor degree or international equivalent with GPA 6/7 and a Graduate Certificate or international equivalent in a cognate discipline with a GPA of 6/7; or

48 units of postgraduate courses in a cognate discipline with a GPA of 6/7;

English Language Requirements

IELTS Academic and IELTS UKVI Academic [excluding One Skill Retake and IELTS Online] – Overall score of 6.5 overall with minimum 6.0 in each band.

TOEFL iBT Paper Edition and TOEFL iBT [excluding Paper Edition and Home Edition] – Overall score of 80 (Reading – 20; Writing – 20; Listening – 18; Speaking – 18).

Cambridge C1 Advanced – Overall score of 176 minimum 169 in each band.

PTE Academic and PTE Academic UKVI [excluding PTE Academic Online] – Overall score of 64 minimum 55 in each band.
