COURSE DESCRIPTION

If you’re curious about how the world works the way it does, then you should consider a Major in Economics. During this program you will receive a thorough grounding in the principles of marketing and management, before moving onto the intricacies micro and macroeconomic theory and policy.

When you undertake an Economics Major with The University of Notre Dame Australia, you will acquire the skills to solve a range of problems through economic reasoning. Covering both the theoretical and applied skills of modern economics and econometrics, this program is the ideal training for a wide range of roles across many industry sectors. Graduates work on such complex issues as poverty, financial crises, industrial downturns, environmental damage and political turmoil.

By equipping our students with the practical skills to tackle real-world problems, a Major in Economics prepares you for employment in both the public and private sector. This three-year program, which can also be taken on a part-time basis, combines a series of workshop sessions, lectures by visiting speakers and Sydney’s most extensive business an internship program. You will also receive help with career planning and professional development.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must meet High school qualifications (or equivalent) to apply for undergraduate program. Academic minimum entry requirements for international applicants vary from country to country.

IELTS (Academic) – 6.5 overall, with no individual band score lower than 6.0; CAE/CPE – 176 overall, with no individual band score lower than 169; PTE Academic – 58 overall, with no individual band score lower than 50; TOEFL (iBT) – 84 overall, with no score lower than 21 in writing and no other band score lower than 17.
