COURSE DESCRIPTION
Gain a comprehensive understanding of managing organisations effectively within different economic, social, political and legal contexts. You can choose to gain an overall understanding of the field or select units from specialist focus areas in managing organisations, managing operations and business processes or managing international business. The Management major will develop the valuable conceptual and practical skills you need to pursue a variety of managerial and leadership roles in industry, commerce and the public sector.
Gain insight into how effective leaders operate in leading organisations. Taught through a combination of lectures, tutorials, workshops and other in-class activities the major in Management will develop your conceptual and practical skills in areas that include organisational behaviour, leadership, operations and project management, information systems management, small business management and entrepreneurship.

Career Pathways
Through its extensive links to the corporate world, the UWA Business School provides students in Management with a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into how effective leaders and managers operate in leading organisations. This major provides you with the managerial skills needed to pursue a variety of managerial and leadership roles in industry, commerce and the public sector.
Further Study
Students can pursue further studies at honours level or undertake a generalist master’s degree such as the Master of Commerce or (after appropriate work experience) the Master of Business Administration.
REQUIREMENTS
Entry requirements may vary from country to country. Students are required to complete an international academic qualification equivalent to Australian High School (or equivalent).
English language requirements:
IELTS (academic): Overall minimum score of 6.5, no band lower than 6.0
TOEFL Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): an overall score of 82 or above with a minimum score of 22 in writing, 18 in reading, 20 in speaking and 20 in listening
Pearsons Test of English (PTE) (academic): An overall score of 64 with a minimum score of 59 in the speaking and writing sections, and no less than 54 in the other sections
