Whether you prefer working independently, leading teams, or even owning your own business, this course will prepare you for success.
Throughout the programme, you will delve into various specialised fields, mastering complex tasks that involve managing logistics, organisational specifications, regulations and legislative requirements across network projects. In addition, you will gain expertise in developing disaster recovery and contingency plans, ensuring businesses can stay afloat in challenging situations.
The course goes beyond the basics and dives into the realm of cutting-edge technology. You will acquire the skills to evaluate networking regulations and legislation for the telecommunications industry, plan and manage troubleshooting advanced integrated IP networks, and manage ICT project planning. Additionally, specialising in Telecommunications Network Engineering Networking, you will be learning to apply business acumen to network planning, manage network security, and design enterprise wireless local area networks.
Academic Pathways
Upon completion of this course, you will be ready to progress to the Graduate Diploma of Telecommunications Network Engineering, Graduate Diploma of Telecommunications and Strategic Management, or Graduate Certificate in Telecommunications Network Engineering.
Alternatively, you have the option to pursue admission into an undergraduate program, such as a Bachelor of Information Technology, offered by an Australian higher education provider. This opportunity is subject to meeting the specific course entry requirements set by the higher education provider.

Armed with this qualification, you can confidently pursue fulfilling management positions, including roles such as Knowledge Manager, eLearning Manager, Enterprise Application Integration Consultant, Enterprise Architecture Manager, and Software Manager in Systems Analysis and Design, Business Administration, Information Technology (Networking), Information Technology Programming, and Information Technology Support Services.
REQUIREMENTS
International students must meet TWI’s standards for English proficiency. To demonstrate possession of adequate English language proficiency, students must provide valid evidence of attainment of at least one of the following:
Academic IELTS (International English Language Testing System) overall band score: 5.5, but minimum 5.0 in individual band (test results must be no more than 2-years-old).
TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-Based Test) test score band: 46
PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English) test score band: 42
CAE (Cambridge English Advanced) test score band: 162
OET (Occupational English Test) test score band: Pass (A or B)
In addition to that, students are exempt from providing evidence of English language proficiency with their visa application if they fall into one of the following categories:
Students who have completed at least five years of study in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa or the Republic of Ireland.
Citizens and passport holders of the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand or the Republic of Ireland.
Students who have successfully completed the Senior Secondary Certificate of Education or study at AQF Certificate IV level or higher in Australia within two years of applying for this qualification.
Students enrolled full-time in school studies as a principal course (including secondary exchange programs), postgraduate research or a standalone ELICOS program.
Foreign Affairs or Defence sponsored students.
