If you are dreaming of the airlines, an instrument rating is a must. Our AVI50519 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating) has been specifically designed for pilots who have completed a commercial pilot licence to upskill and improve their industry prospects. Many organisations will prefer candidates with multi-engine instrument ratings.
As part of this course, you will complete your instrument rating rxam (IREX) and undertake training to prepare you for CASA flight tests for a multi-engine class rating (MEA) and a multi-engine instrument rating (MEIR).

REQUIREMENTS
In addition to the general entry requirements, you must:
– Have a current Australian commercial pilot licence (issued by Civil Aviation Safety Authority) or AVI50215/AVI50219 Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence –Aeroplane)
– Hold a CASA Class 2 medical certificate
– Hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).

It is a private provider of flying instruction services and aircraft for tertiary courses. The School offers a complete range of flying courses, right from the beginner’s course that takes one to Solo standard through to the Commercial Pilot Licence, Instructor Rating and Instrument Rating Training. The School also conducts flight camps during school holidays for people who are interested in a career in aviation.
