COURSE DESCRIPTION
Creativity is central to the human experience. It creates joy, inspires others and opens hearts and minds.
This course is designed for those new to the creative industries who may be unsure if it is the right direction, or want to learn the basics of photography, video, audio and digital imaging.
United Pop will introduce you to a variety of skills to start your creative journey and set you up to begin our Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses in Sound Production, Photography and Screen and Media.
TRAINING OUTCOMES
Trimester One
The Basics
You will learn how to:
- Use applications essential for creative business
- Apply basic work, health and safety practices and principles
- Develop basic audio skills and sound editing
Trimester Two
Creative Arts, Screen and Social Media
You will learn how to:
- Assist with basic camera shoots
- Develop digital imaging skills
- Perform basic vision and sound editing
- Use social media tools for collaboration and engagement
REQUIREMENTS
This course is available to International Students who are able to provide evidence that they:
- Are over the age of 18.
- Have completed year 12 or equivalent.
- Have completed Year 12 English at an Australian secondary school or college, or equivalent.
- If you have completed a qualification where English was the primary language of instruction, you may be eligible for an English language exemption.
- IELTS, TOEFL, PTE and CAE: These tests must be taken no more than two years prior to application.
Meet one of the following English proficiency requirements:
- a valid IELTS score of 5.5 or other minimum test scores
- that they have successfully completed their Year 12 or equivalent in English Language.
