If a rewarding career as a teacher in your home country is your dream, this program is for you.

With the final placement undertaken in your home country, you’ll gain relevant hands-on experience to work across a wide age range:

Preschool and early childhood (birth – kindergarten)

Primary school (kinder / year 1-6)

Study in our state-of-the-art technologies. SimTeach, SimCave and SimSchool immerse students in virtual reality and hands-on experiences. These technologies prepare students for diverse contexts and diverse students. Our technologies are used to reflect our commitment to equity, excellence, and indigenous knowledge, through shared experiences, indigenous storytelling and reflective practice.

Course overview

You will study a range of courses in:

psychology of learning and teaching

children’s learning and growth across the span of birth to 12 years

families and society

programming and planning for children aged 0-6 years

language and mathematical learning

aboriginal education

education policy and contemporary issues

behaviour management

diversity and Inclusive education

ethics and professional codes of conduct

Career opportunities

Graduates will be able to seek employment as Early Childhood (EC) Educators or Primary / Elementary school teachers, in their home countries (graduates should check their local accreditation requirements to determine the suitability of this program).

While most study Education to become teachers, your qualification opens doors to a multitude of other careers in related industries, including leadership and professional roles in research and policy development.
