Study Geospatial Science in the Bachelor of Science and be able to provide expert analysis and advice about what shapes our world.
This important field of study helps to answer questions and draw conclusions about the relationship between people, places and the environment, and to help predict trends and patterns for the future.
Explore geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing methods, tools, and techniques that support decision-making in many applications areas and develop practical experience alongside technical, analytical and leadership skills.
Work with sophisticated technology and tools, including drones, satellite imagery, maps, and laser measurement systems for 3D mapping and visualisation of the natural and built environment.
Combine your Geospatial Science courses with a second major, such as IT, Mathematics & Statistics, or Agricultural Science, or choose between a range of electives to tailor your unique career path.

Career outcomes
As a graduate from this major you will have adequate knowledge of spatial information systems to be eligible for employment and certification, where appropriate, as a GIS spatial scientist, cartographer, photogrammetrist, geodesist, or geospatial analyst and often find work in transport, primary industries, environment and online mapping sectors.

REQUIREMENTS
Applicant must have Australian year 12 level or equivalent.
Students from different country must have qualifications equivalent to Australia.
English language requirements
IELTS (Academic only) – Overall minimum score of 6.0 and no individual band score of less than 5.5; TOEFL (internet based) – Overall minimum score of 80 and no individual skills score of less than 19; Pearson (PTE Academic) – Overall score of 50 and no individual Communicative Skills score of less than 50; Cambridge C1 Advanced C2 Proficiency – Overall minimum score of 169 with no less than 162 in each skill.
