The Bachelor of Business offers students a sound background in all areas in the first year with an opportunity to study one or more areas of interest from the second year. It prepares students for ethical, sustainable, and future-focused business practice that is not just about profits, but about people and the planet as well.
The course is intended for students with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and aspirations – whether they are a recent school leaver or not; from Australia or abroad; have work experience or not; are a profession-seeker looking to discover a career path or professionally focused with a career in mind.
The Bachelor of Business course provides a flexible approach to learning that includes online and on-campus teaching, as well as day and night classes, which helps students to balance study, work and life.
The Bachelor of Business is the most in-demand business course in New South Wales (University Admissions Centre, 2023). The course is designed in partnership with industry and emphasises on social justice. Students are able to create and tailor a qualification and a future career path that reflects what is important to them. There are eight majors on offer, plus a vast assortment of second majors, extension subjects, sub-majors and electives from across UTS.

The degree seeks to provide students with the knowledge, competencies and values necessary to develop critical, analytical and evaluative skills essential for a fulfilling and effective career in business.

The Bachelor of Business is a broad professional degree, equipping graduates to pursue careers across all business fields, industries and sectors. Examples of career options include accountant, auditor, banker, business adviser, business analyst, business consultant, economist, entrepreneur, financial analyst, financial planner, human resources manager, project manager, marketing specialist, stockbroker.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification, Australian Qualifications Framework Diploma, or equivalent Australian or overseas qualification at the required level.
The English proficiency requirement for international students or local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0; or TOEFL: paper based: 550-583 overall with TWE of 4.5, internet based: 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21; or AE5: Pass; or PTE: 58-64 with a writing score of 50; or C1A/C2P: 176-184 with a writing score of 169.
