COURSE DESCRIPTION

By measuring and managing risk, actuaries help businesses, governments, not-for-profit organisations and individuals make critical decisions for the future.

The Bachelor of Actuarial Studies at UNSW is accredited by the Actuaries Institute and includes real-world experience and an optional specialisation to develop your future career as an actuary. You’ll develop a specialist quantitative skill set in actuarial models, financial mathematics, probability and statistics. Within three years you’ll be ready for a quantitative role in a range of industries including financial services, insurance and superannuation.
